JOHN MONTGOMERY M.A.ED.
John Montgomery has 40 years of professional teaching experience (incl. Nishimachi International School: 1983~2015). At Nishimachi he has provided a variety of support including positions such as interim middle school principal, grade 9 guidance counselor for high school admissions, middle school social studies and language arts instructor, social studies curriculum committee chairperson and coordinator and during the early years a 3~4th grade elementary classroom teacher.
He has been providing educational consulting support to international and Japanese families in Tokyo and overseas for 25 years. He's helped over 120 students apply and successfuly get into outstanding highschools and colleges overseas and have supported them through their transitions and even many through their professional transition.
He is one out of the five professional IECA Members in Tokyo. He has a teaching credential from Califonia State University at San Jose and a M.A.Ed from University of San Francisco.
CEO & Representative Director
Michio is the former CEO & Representative Director of one of the largest cooking studio companies in the world, ABC Cooking Studio. The company had over 130 cooking studios in Japan and close to 10 studios overseas with numerous subsidiaries that operated gyms, financial companies and others. He managed over 4,000 staff members and the service provided service to 300,000 students with an accumulation of a million students. He left the company after the company was acquired by NTT Docomo in 2014.
He Graduated Babson College (Massachusetts) in 2007 and entered Merrill Lynch Japan and supported the team with numerous billion dollar cross-border / domestic M&A projects including IPOs, PE fund-raising, etc. After leaving Merrill Lynch in 10/2010 he established White Knight Capital in 2011, a company focused in start-up investment / incubation support for Japanese ventures and in 2013 became the CEO & Representative Director of ABC Cooking Studio.
COO & Executive Director
IVAN FEDOROFF M.S.
Ivan holds a M.S. in Elementary and Middle School Education from St. Johns University NY and a B.A. from Stony Brook University NY and has a Teaching License and Certification from New York State. He taught English and math for about 10 years in New York and has been teaching elementary / middle school math at international schools in Japan for over 5 years. He also supervises numerous extracurricular activities at the school.
He is also one of the founders and a general manager of “NYC School in Kamiooka” an English language school focused on teaching ESL education for ages one and up and continued English education for returnee students.
CTO & Executive Director
Masters graduate of Tokyo Institute of Technology in Computational Intelligence and System Science (MS). Joined Morgan Stanley Tokyo’s Information Technology Division in April, 2006. After Morgan Stanley he joined Actie Inc. in 2014 as an investor and CTO and in December 2014 became CTO and executive director of GLOBAL EDUCATIONAL PARTNERS Inc. He started his IT career as an infrastructure engineer (Redhat Certified Engineer) where he managed over 1,000 servers in Morgan Stanley. In addition to Infrastructure knowledge he also holds strong IT development skills.
He is a lifelong learner, linux engineer and a Perl developer/CPAN author, as well as, an accountant & gardener at his wife’s Kaede Cafe.
MASAYASU MORITA M.A.ED.
Masayasu is the founder, CEO and President of Hitomedia, Inc. a leading education incubator company in Japan. He is a former director of ALC Press Inc. and was a part of the member that supported the IPO of the company in 2006. He is the deputy representative of Fancy Japan, representative Director of TranNet KK (the largest translation media in Japan), advisor of Bennesse Corporation, professor at the Kyoto College of Graduate Studies for Informatics, and a visiting professor at the Aoyama Gakuin University.

Lesson Development Director
Steve has over 20 years of professional teaching including extensive experience at international Schools. He has taught a wide range of students starting from pre-school students to adults, and accumulatively has taught thousands of students.
He teaches a variety of courses including activity base courses such as drama, yoga while combining it with academic skill sets and knowledge. He has extensive knowledge in education business marketing and management and has supported numerous start ups and developments of education businesses.
CHRIS SMITH M.ED.
Chris has worked for over 10 years in the educational field, including international schools. He currently teaches at one of the leading international schools in Singapore. He has also been the chair of the curriculum committees for creating and organizing the development of the curriculum for numerous international schools.
He has a teaching credential and a M.A.Ed from California State University.
Philip has been in the educational field for over 35 years, including his many years at international schools. He has taught students from when they were infants up to junior high level. He holds extensive experience in ESL education / teaching experience. He has also been teaching and been an active photographer himself and has over 30 years of experience in graphic design.

Chadney is the former founder and owner of Hillside Gear, a globally recognized skateboard gear brand which he sold in 2014. He covered not only the management of the business but was heavily dedicated to the product development, customer relation & sales, global marketing and many other essential parts of the business. He has over a decade of international marketing and sales experience.
He has also taught children of all ages in art schools, summer school / camps and non-profit organizations. He holds a B.A. from University of Kentucky with studies in Art History, Philosophy and Architecture.

SACHIKO (SACHI) MONTGOMERY
Sachi is one of the founding member of Global Step Academy and has been an essential part of the history of the development of the academy. She has worked at several international schools focusing on primary and elementary school students. She has over 10 years of teaching experience and has been tutoring students from primary to adults on the side as well.
Sachi is also a professional singer and performs regularly in California and Tokyo. She holds a B.A. from Boston University in Psychology.
